Reflection on Art Terms Using Pictures

·         Balance: The image has a balanced feel because of the symmetry involved.

it also has the same sort of balance from top to bottom in size of blue and gray items. 

·         Gradation: The sunset is gradually changing colors.

 

 

·         Repetition – The chess pieces in the picture are repeated.

·         Contrast – The silver and the wood have different textures and also represent light vs. dark.

 

 

·         Harmony – The elements in the picture are related and no elements overshadow one another. It is balanced and equal.  There are also colors that are next to each other on the color wheel.

 

 

 

·         Dominance – One item is dominating the picture.

 

·          Unity – Related items and colors are working together to create unity.
