Television Outlines; Meditation in Unique Places


 

Television Outlines

a)         Mini-Documentary:

This documentary will reflect on variety of different types of mediation. It will discuss guided, mantra, mindfulness, transcendental meditation as well as yoga. The documentary will feature place and people around the world that are practicing these types of meditation. The characters will feature one Buddhist monks, one yoga instructor and one normal American citizen practicing meditation in his daily life. It starts by presenting each characters lifestyle from the American in the city to the monk in Eastern Asia. It will then present how they incorporate meditation into their daily lives. Finally, each character will discuss the benefits of meditation and how it has changed their lives.

b)         Episode of unique feature

A city girl is taken from the New York streets of Manhattan into Eastern Asian. There she is introduced to a whole new life of living. She is required to go vegetarian, take a vow of silence for one week and meditation daily. She works for the monks in the area and serves tea to the community in order to learn better concentration skills. The show will start out in New York and follow the young city girl on the plane across the world. It will end with her new found self and her reflections of her experience.

c)         Reality Show

The show will feature 10 characters; all the characters will be from big cities or suburban areas within the United States. All of the contestants will be tricked into thinking this is normal Real World type reality show but in reality the contestants are forced to live a selfless life. The contestants’ friends and families would have suggested them for this experience. The characters will have to live life like a Buddhist monk. They will have to get rid of all their fancy material items and live life with the bare minimums. The winner who lasts will win a paid vacation.
